Best of the Bunch is a monthly linkup where we can share the best books we read each month and award one of them “Best of the Bunch.” This blog hop originated at Lyrical Reviews and then moved over to Always Lost in Stories. At the end of 2014, hosting was handed over to A Cocoon of Books
How is it already the end of May?!
I’ll let you know early that this’ll be a short post as I only read one book in May.
It was an amazing book, though!
I finished this on the 21st and still don’t think I have the words to properly review it. I was hesitant to start it though because it’s a huge book and historical fiction, which i don’t usually read. But I think listening to it with audio as well helped me. If you haven’t yet read this, I do recommend it!
That’s going to be it for now, hope you had a good May!
Hello, Hello. Welcome to June. Today I’ll share with you what I’ll be reading/reviewing for the month of June.
I didn’t get any votes on the poll that I put up for this month so I’m going to choose which book I review. I’m going to go ahead and wait until I read one of them to decide, but I will most likely review Into the Drowning Deep because I have wished that I did it right after finishing it. As I said in the last post I have a lot of notes from when I read it the first time, so I’m excited to share some of it with you!
Hello Everyone! It’s nearly time for another round of the Biblio Games [formerly BookTube Games] and I’m going to share my TBR with you today.
The Biblio Games was created by Myonna @ littlewolfreads on twitter. This rounds theme is Sky High, so there are four different teams; Heroes, Sidekicks, Antiheroes & Villains. There are two hosts per team, they are:
Welcome back to another weekly update. Today I’ll share with you what I’ve read in the last week and some other updates. I’ll also be actually sharing with you some posts that are coming up [ which i forgot to do last time ].
Let’s start off with the books I read last week.
I finally finished the book thief! I don’t think I’ll post a review for this one, but I will tell you that I gave it 5 stars.
I read this one while also listening to the audio, which I think was done really well.
Alright! I’m excited to try this out. As I said in my last TBR List post, I’m doing this a bit differently now. Today I’m going to give you the choices and poll so you can vote on what you want me to review in June. Then on the 1st of June I’ll make a post letting you know which book won. This way I have the whole month rather than only 2 weeks to read and review the book. I’ll also have reviews coming out for books that I’ve been sent by either the author/publisher/agent for review probably in June. I don’t want to ramble too much about this so let’s get into the options!
As always, I’ll give you the synopsis of each book, but if you don’t want to read them, the poll will be all the way at the bottom!
Hello Everyone! I’m a bit late with this post, but I didn’t want to wait another whole week before posting it. I told you on the 8th that I was planning on changing up this update meme, and that’s mainly because I just don’t really like the setup of Sunday Post/It’s Monday anymore. Because this is the first Weekly Update post, please leave comments on what you like about it and what you think I should change up to make this a better weekly update.
I’m planning on going over what I read the previous week, what I want to read this coming week, blog posts to look out for, some writing updates, and maybe even some blog shoutouts for you all. So, please feel free to leave suggestions or anything on these posts, be it suggestions on how format, topics covered and even some blogs you think I should mention!
Hello! I’m back to share with you my Bout of Books 25 Wrap-Up!
I’m going to go ahead and start off with the fact that I barely read from my actual TBR. Also, I didn’t read anything on the last two days of the readathon because I was out of town for my cousin’s graduation and didn’t have much time. I could have read in the car but it would have made me sick. Continue reading “Bout of Books 25 Wrap-Up”
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, Twitter chats, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 25 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
Happy Saturday, today I’m going to share with you my Bout of Books TBR. If you follow my Twitter you’ll know that I’m hoping to get through Aurora Rising and The Book Thief before Monday. I want to be able to start new books during the readathon, but if I don’t finish them by Monday, it’s okay, but I want to get a good chunk of them both finished at least.
Anyway, just as the last Bout of Books, there aren’t any reading challenges, there are Instagram challenges that I will do and ‘blog’ challenges. The blog-type challenges I’ll be doing on Twitter though, because usually it’s only a few lines, and I don’t want to have a bunch of posts that are only a few lines. So, for this readathon, I’ll be posting a wrap-up on the 20th, which is the day after it finishes where I’ll let you know if I finished the books on my TBR or if I read different books.
