Do I have that book tag?

Ello ello!
Today I’ve got another tag for you, this one I found on Berries & Books. This tag consists of 20 questions asking if you have certain types of books. I’ll just go ahead and hop right into the questions!

1. Do you have a book with deckled edges?

I do. I actually have a few even though I really don’t like deckled edges.

March TBR List Results

Just a quick little post here to let you know what book I’ll be reading/reviewing for March. I didn’t get any votes on my in-post poll, so I went to my discord friendos and they chose Vox by Christina Dalcher! I’ve read this before and really liked it so I decided to pick it up at the bookstore so I could have my own copy, and I can’t wait to read it again!

Happy Reading,

Sav

Valentine’s Day Book Tag

Ello, ello

As you probably, hopefully, already know today is Valentine’s Day. I don’t really like Valentine’s Day, never really have but I found a book tag that is Valentine’s themed so I decided, why not?

So I found a few people who have done this tag but it was originally created by CC’s Books on BookTube.

Let’s go ahead and get right into it, hey?

TBR List – March

Ello ello,

Today I’m going to give you lot the poll to vote on for which book you want a review for in March. I picked three books that will be re-reads for me but that I haven’t read in a bit.

I’ll go ahead and give you the synopsis of each before putting up the poll, if you don’t want/need to read the synopsis go ahead and just skip to the bottom for the poll!

Vox

On the day the government decrees that women are no longer allowed to speak more than 100 words daily, Dr. Jean McClellan is in denial—this can’t happen here. Not in America. Not to her.

This is just the beginning.

Soon women can no longer hold jobs. Girls are no longer taught to read or write. Females no longer have a voice. Before, the average person spoke sixteen thousand words a day, but now women only have one hundred to make themselves heard.

But this is not the end.

For herself, her daughter, and every woman silenced, Jean will reclaim her voice.Continue reading “TBR List – March”

my hiatus is over…hopefully (2-6-20)

Hey friends,

I haven’t been on in a good while, since October I believe, but I’ve been wanting to come back and start doing this again. A lot’s been going on though so I haven’t really had the time, but I’ve decided that it’s now or never. I need to just start blogging again right now or I don’t think I would for a good while. {i feel like that didn’t make sense, sorry}.

I’ve come up with a temporary monthly and weekly schedule that I’m gonna try out and see if I can’t tweak it a bit and have a solid schedule rather than just posting whenever.

The Ultimate Book Tag

Welcome back to Tag Tuesday on Thursday, today is another tag found from The Book Nut & here is their post if you want to check it out too!

1. Do you get sick while reading in the car?

Yes, I get nauseous if I read too much while in the car.

2. Which author’s writing style is completely unique to you and why?

Probably Neal Shusterman, I just feel like he could write anything and it would be good, I mean he wrote a story from the perspective of a gun in Violent Ends.

It’s Monday [9-16-19]

Hello, Hello.

Today is technically Tuesday but it’s fine. I meant to write this yesterday and post it on the day but I ended up cleaning my room and doing all of my laundry, including bedding.

I actually almost decided to just skip this one because I haven’t done much reading at all. I read a bit of I Wish You All the Best but I haven’t been in a reading mood again. Also I have to take that book back to the library SOON because it is way overdue. That means I won’t be able to finish it right away unless my library has an ebook copy. It’s Monday [9-9-19]

I’m back, hopefully for good this time. I haven’t been reading much the past couple of months which means I haven’t really had a lot to blog about. I knew that if I did an update each week where I didn’t read anything at all it would be pretty boring. But, I want to keep blogging and interacting with you lot, so I’m going to try scheduling a couple posts during the weekend for the upcoming week, that way  I have a few posts that for sure come out each week. But then if I want some other post during the week I can post that as well. Continue reading “It’s Monday [9-9-19]”

Happy Monday!

Hey guys! It’s Monday yet again and I really need to get back into blogging. Today [very late in the day, I admit] I’m just going to give you a quick overview of some posts I want to do and books I want to read in the coming weeks. I’m doing it this way because I really haven’t read much at all. I’ve been in a super slump the past couple of months and I’m slowly coming back out of it.Continue reading “Happy Monday!”

Magical Readathon [NEWTs] Announcement & TBR

Hey Everyone!

Today I’ll be finally telling you about the Magical Readathon that is going on this month. I’m going to go ahead and link my OWLs post which has the hosts twitters and the discord already.

There is a new prompt sheet though, so I’ll post that for you all here and the career sheet here.

Now I was going for Healer in the OWLs but didn’t read all that I needed, so I decided to go with Ministry Worker. For my NEWTs I haven’t quite decided which type of ministry worker I’d like to do, but it’s going to have to be either Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes or Department of Mysteries, mainly because the others require a class to have been passed in the OWLs that I didn’t do.
