Happy Monday!

Hey guys! It’s Monday yet again and I really need to get back into blogging. Today [very late in the day, I admit] I’m just going to give you a quick overview of some posts I want to do and books I want to read in the coming weeks. I’m doing it this way because I really haven’t read much at all. I’ve been in a super slump the past couple of months and I’m slowly coming back out of it.Read More »

Magical Readathon [NEWTs] Announcement & TBR

Hey Everyone!

Today I’ll be finally telling you about the Magical Readathon that is going on this month. I’m going to go ahead and link my OWLs post which has the hosts twitters and the discord already.

There is a new prompt sheet though, so I’ll post that for you all here and the career sheet here.

Now I was going for Healer in the OWLs but didn’t read all that I needed, so I decided to go with Ministry Worker. For my NEWTs I haven’t quite decided which type of ministry worker I’d like to do, but it’s going to have to be either Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes or Department of Mysteries, mainly because the others require a class to have been passed in the OWLs that I didn’t do.

The Reading Rush TBR

Ah, I meant to post this yesterday but I was with my niece all day and we did crafts and watched some GMM together. So here is my little bit late Reading Rush TBR!

Hello!

The Reading Rush [formerly BookTube-A-Thon] is finally back and I’m really excited to participate again.

If you didn’t know The Reading Rush is hosted by Ariel & Raeleen. This, the first round, takes place from July 22 – July 28. There are 7 challenges that you try to complete during these seven days.

First, I’ll share with you the challenges, then I’ll go ahead and let you know what I’m planning on reading.

Weekly Update [7-22-19]

Hello, finally.

If you follow my twitter, you’ll know that I’ve been on a spontaneous hiatus from just about everything. I’ve just not been in the right mind set to write, read or blog lately. It doesn’t help that I’ve been at my sister’s house since Thursday [7-18] so she can go to work and my niece, who had surgery Wednesday [7-17] can be at home. I’ll be here to help out and watch my niece probably until this Wednesday night just so she doesn’t have to get up early and leave the house until Thursday.

June Best of the Bunch

Hello, Hello.

I’m a bit late on these posts because I took a week off blogging just to try and get on track for Camp NaNoWrimo and the Book Junkie Trials.

Today I’ll be sharing with you my June Best of the Bunch, then the rest of this week until Monday I’m hoping to get up a Book Junkie Trials announcement/TBR and a review for Archenemies. Then Monday I should be back on track with my Weekly Update!

So, in the month of June I read 12 Books; 7 of which were Graphic Novels, and 3 five stars! They were;

My Brother's Husband

The SelectionArchenemies

I honestly loved all three of these books, but one was just SOOO GOOOD that it wasn’t too hard to choose this month which would be the best of the bunch!Read More »

Weekly Update [6-26-19]

Hello! Welcome Back for another Weekly Update! Today I’ll be sharing with you the books I’ve read in the last week, some readathon news for July, camp NaNoWrimo stuff and posts to look forward to in the next week.

Let’s go ahead and start out with the books I’ve read in the past week!

I’ve only finished two books this week as well and both were graphic novels.

Paper Girls 3

Paper Girls 2

&

I also read 40 pages of Into the Drowning Deep and the first 92 pages of Wilder Girls!

Now onto some fun readathon info. I’m participating in two readathons in July, which may be too many because it is also Camp NaNoWriMo but we’ll try and make it work.

The first one I’m participating in is The Book Junkie Trials which is a month long readathon. I will be posting my TBR for this a bit closer to the 1st of July so keep a look out for that.

The other readathon I’ll be participating in is The Reading Rush [formerly BookTubeAThon]. It occurs from July 22-29; my TBR for this one will be coming around the middle of the month.

If you didn’t already know, Camp NaNoWriMo is similar to NaNoWriMo, except it occurs twice a year [april, july] and you get to choose your own goal whether it be pages, hours, lines or words.

This will be my fourth time participating in Camp and I’m super excited because my goal is to get to 50k on my WIP [which will hopefully still end up being 25k words for the month]. I’m currently at 18,607 words so I still need to get around 6,333 words before July starts!

Are you participating in Camp NaNoWriMo in July? If so what is your writing goal?

Finally let’s get to talking about some upcoming posts;

I’ll for sure have a TBR List up this weekend [it’ll be the poll for July] and I’m hoping to get my review out this weekend as well.

Also, as I said above, I’ll have my TBR for the Bookie Trials up probably on the 28th or 30th!

That’s going to be it for today, sorry it’s a bit late but I’ve been pretty tired after being out of town this weekend. I’ll see you later though!

Happy Reading,

Sav
